Indian Homeopathic Medicines for Women diseases:

Homeopathic medicines are prepared from a wide range of medications, from plants, animals, nosodes, sarcodes, minerals like many sources which help to reduce the suffering of the patients basing on the principle of Homeopathy-“ Similia similibus curanter”.  Medicines used for the Homoeopathy, most of them are fully proven drugs. However, some medicines are there which are helpful to relieve particular affections effectively but they are not fully proven. Some medicines, which are partly proven or while proving it shows limited affections. Some Indian plants are helpful in particular affections and help effectively in relieving the symptoms. These Homeopathic medicines made from Indian plants particularly help in the treatment of Women diseases. Here we will discuss a few of these properties.

I am now dealing with the female affections, like PMS, menstrual problems, Menopausal syndromes in women. This time I would like to introduce some medications which are partially proved, rare homeopathic medication of Indian origin which extremely helpful for female affections. Even though they will not meet the similimum of the patient, but they partially help to relieve the complaints, in a short time, to help the patient for the acute similimum.

Abroma Augusta (Olat Kambal-H, Devil’s Cotton-E) – an excellent Indian Homeopathic medicines for the treatment of women diseases such as amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, and diabetes:

The plant of Abroma Augusta grows wild throughout the hotter part of India. In ancient times, it was used therapeutically as an emmenagogue in menstrual disorders. It is an excellent remedy for the treatment of amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, and diabetes. It indicated in irregular catamenia where there is a tendency to appear before proper time and lasts for a short or for a long period. Great uneasiness, feeling of prostration is a very important symptom. For the Inability to do any work also it is a very good Homeopathic remedy. Burning sensation of all over the body with a thirst for large quantities, anxious and irritable it indicates.

Depressed during menses is very prominent where its action is marvelous. Menses irregular, menstrual blood dark, clotted, scanty, or profuse. Leucorrhoea is profuse, white watery and thin. Colicky pain in the lower abdomen, 2-3 days before menses particularly indicates this remedy. Hysteria women associated with menstrual disorders. 

Abroma Augusta Radix (Olat Kambal root) – also a very good Indian Homeopathic medicines for the treatment of women diseases such as Irregular menses:

This drug is prepared from the root of Abroma Augusta. It causes the menses to appear and gives the tone and strength to the uterus. Its efficacy marked by female disorders that connect with the uterus. Mental and other symptoms are the same as Abroma Augusta. Irregular menses, dysmenorrhoea, colicky pain in the lower abdomen before the menses especially calls this remedy is useful. Menstrual discharge is copious or scanty, with black and mixed with clots. It may compare to Pulsatilla and Viburnum opulus in this context. Mentally such women are ill-tempered and easily angered. It suits the best in lowest dilution—Q, 2x and 3x. It is a small herb commonly found all over India. Achyranthus applied in menorrhagia associated with diarrhea and dysentery. It helps in using the mother tincture and 3x dilutions. 

Blumea Odorata (Kukundar) – Homeopathic medicines for the treatment of women diseases such as Uterine bleeding:

It is a common herb in India. Its fresh leaves look like the leaves of tobacco. It grows largely in deserted places or lands. In ancient times, the Hindu physicians used this herb as an anti-hemorrhagic remedy. It also called as sacred fig. It was worshipped by most of the Indians. Medicine prepared from its root and stems, leaves, and fruits. It is a haemorrhage arrester in Menorrhagia, metrorrhagia. Helpful in mother tinctures, 3x, 6, and 30 dilutions.   

Saraca Indica/Janosia (The ashoka tree) – Indian Homeopathy medicine for the treatment of women diseases such as Amenorrhea:

Its leaves and fruits are used for homeopathic medicine preparation. Ashoka is an ancient medicine of great repute for menstrual and uterine disorders. It is a sovereign remedy for amenorrhoea and scanty menses with intolerable pain and burning sensation during maturation. A uterine tonic giving strength to the uterus, which has been weakened by chronic illness.

Headache due to suppression of menses especially indicates this Homeopathy Medicine for women. for delayed or irregular menses its action is wonderful. Menstrual flow is scanty, pale, watery, foul-smelling, blackish. Amenorrhoea particularly is at puberty with headache, palpitations, hysteria with loss of appetite. Women are better by the commencement of free flow. Menorrhagia is with profuse, long-lasting, making the female weak and anemic. Menorrhagia is due to uterine fibroids. Dysmenorrhoea is with constipation and burning sensation over face and eyes.

Cessation of menses when colicky abdominal pains are supervenes. Has a stimulating effect on endometrial and ovarian tissue. Ashoka is Useful in sterility and menopause. Leucorrhoea is from delayed menses or instead of menses. Infantile leucorrhoea, small girls become emaciated despite regular nourishment. Menstrual colic, headache is due to the scanty flow of menses with severe pain in the lower back and abdomen. Helpful in mother tinctures and 2x and 3x dilutions.   

Menispernum Cocculus (Rakta kanthalia) – Indian Homeopathic Remedy for the treatment of women diseases such as weakness due to bleeding:

It is a very good remedy for Menorrhagia, a great remedy for uterine haemorrhages. Menorrhagia, the patient becomes extremely weak due to excessive bleeding; blood continuously oozes from the uterus. Haemorrhages worst from motion or during movement. Bleeding is bright red mixed with clots. Copious bleeding in women is with pain in the lower abdomen. Excessive hemorrhages are after delivery. Despondent, giddiness with ringing sensation is in ears. For Loss of appetite and thirst from uterine complaints, it is a very good Homeopathic remedy. It should compare with Sabadilla, trillium, Hamamelis, and ipecac. Can be used in mother tincture and 6x forms.
