Kali sulphuricum is sometimes called the chronic Pulsatilla. The common symptoms are: desire for company, warm, left sided, and yellow, thick and copious discharges. In the old literature the difference between these two remedies is not clear.

Group analysis

From the group analysis we get a clearer insight into the essence of Kali-s. We find the theme to be the duty to be good to their partner. They have strong principles and make an obvious choice for their partner. They will go through any adversity or disease with their partner. If this goes on for many years they might become ill themselves; they can really sacrifice themselves.

This feeling of having to give love is not restricted to love for the partner. They will also extend this to parents, children, cousins and even to neighbours, friends and acquaintances. They give without a second thought, without expectations. They simply feel that they have to and they just do it (Kali). It does them good to give, and they enjoy seeing others being happy.

Case

A woman aged 60 comes with a stopped-up feeling in her ears, worse on the left side. It has been like this for a year, ever since she caught a cold. She also has an inflammation of the lining of the tendons in her left wrist and thumb. It is painful on movement, sewing and typing. The wrist gets swollen and she feels as if a vein swells up. She has had this for 8 years. She also suffers from numbness of the hands, (

Synonym. Kali Sulfate. Potassium sulfate. Common names. Sulphate

GENERAL ANALYSIS AND THERAPEUTICS.
Our knowledge of the action of Kali sulph., like several other of the tissue salts, is obtained from Schuessler’s observations and from clinical sources. It seems especially applicable to the later stages of inflammation, and to ailments accompanied by profuse desquamation of the epidermis. Yellow mucous discharges are characteristic (Puls.). So also are the evening aggravation and amelioration in the cool open air (Puls.). Disease caused by a retrocession of eruptions. Oxaluria.
CHARACTERISTIC SYMPTOMS.
Head. Rheumatic headache, beginning in evening and in a heated room. Bald spots. Dandruff and scaldhead. Ears. Eustachian deafness. Discharge of yellow matter (Hydr.). Nose. Colds, with yellow, slimy expectoration. Nose obstructed. Smell lost (Natr. mur.). Face. Aches in heated room, better in cool open air. Epithelioma. Stomach. Tongue coated yellow and slimy. Insipid, pappy-taste. Gums painful. Burning thirst, and vomiting. Feeling of a load in stomach. Dread of hot drinks. Abdomen. Yellow, slimy diarrhoea. Constipation, with haemorrhoids. (Sulph.). Male Organs. Gonorrhoea; discharge slimy, yellowish-green. Orchitis. Gleet. Female Organs. Menses too late, scanty, with feeling of weight in abdomen. (Puls.). Respiratory Organs. Coarse rales. Rattling of mucus in chest, with croup. (Tart. em.). Bronchial asthma, with yellow expectoration. Cough; worse in evening and in hot atmosphere. Croupy hoarseness (Hep., Spong.). Limbs. Pain in nape, back and limbs; worse in warm room. Shifting, wandering pains (Puls.). Fever. Rise of temperature at night. Intermittent fever, with yellow, slimy tongue. Skin. Psoriasis (Ars.). Eczema; burning, itching, papular eruption. Nettle rash. Polypi. Epithelioma. Aggravation. In the evening. In a heated room. Amelioration. In the cool, open air. Compare. Pierce W.I.

POTASSIUM SULPHATE, K2SO4.

Introduction
This is one of Schussler’s remedies and he considers it the function remedy of the epidermis and of the epithelium. It has not been regularly proved, Allen’s Encyclop. giving us the effect of large doses, yet he has told us that Dr. Hermann, of Paris, has found clinically that “Kali sulph. is almost a specific in oxaluria” (Chironian, ’99) (148).

-Potassium Sulphate. Sulphate of Potash.

Like Ferrum phos. this salt aids in effecting the transfer of the inhaled oxygen. It is found in nearly all the cells containing iron. Any abnormality or deficiency is shown physically, by a sensation of weariness and heaviness, with chilliness, headache, pains in the limbs, or vertigo. The malaise is worse when patient is confined in rooms, and from warmth and is better in the open, or in cool air. It is called for in desquamation following diseases like scarlet fever, measles, etc., scaly skin, yellowish eczemas, dandruff, etc. It is indicated in conditions of the mucous membranes, exudations, discharges, secretions and tongue, when the color is distinctly yellow or yellowish.

Has been successfully prescribed in bronchitis, catarrh, albuminuria, diphtheria, dropsy, vertigo, asthma, ear diseases, whooping cough, syphilis, tuberculosis, stomach catarrh, anaemia, rheumatism, ophthalmia, lupus, eczema, skin diseases, meals, menstruation, leucorrhoea, indigestion, diarrhoea, disorders of the eye, etc., when general characteristics and general indications as above are shown.
